What I’m reading: "Braiding Sweetgrass" by professor Robin Wall Kimmerer. Offering Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, drawing on her life as an indigenous scientist, a mother, and a woman, Kimmerer shows how all of creation offers us gifts and lessons, even if we’ve forgotten how to hear their voices.
Music I’m loving: Jack Garratt Phase
Quote that resonated: "the awakening of a wider ecological consciousness requires the acknowledgment and celebration of our reciprocal relationship with the rest of the living world. For only when we can hear the languages of other beings will we be capable of understanding the generosity of the earth, and learn to give our own gifts in return."-Robin Wall Kimmerer
Idea that’s on my mind: The Wisdom of the Body
Your body is wise. Your body accurately reflects how you have lived your life. Your body also holds insights about how to be fully yourself. Your body knows which people around you bring out the best in you, and which do not. Your body always knows the next step to take for your growth.
Lesson Learned this week: Focusing on your body can return you to the non-analytic knowing that connects you to your intuition. Focusing on your body can be an inner compass that points the way to the unique medicine that you need to heal.
